Selection Committee - Applications will be reviewed and the recipient will be selected by an impartial committee.

Eligibility Considerations: APPLICANT MUST ATTEND AND HAVE COMPLETED AT LEAST TWO SEMESTERS AT DADE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, IDER HIGH SCHOOL, OR NORTH SAND MOUNTAIN SCHOOL.

Scholarship Value - Recipient selected will receive a scholarship not to exceed $2,500.00 paid directly to the educational institution covering all or part of the cost for tuition and books, as determined from demonstrated need.

Presentation - to be presented prior to graduation by a representative of the Bank of Dade to a senior who has been selected by the selection committee and accepted to an educational institution of his/her choice.

This year, the Bank of Dade Scholarship is dedicated in loving memory of Jay T. Jones, Sr., a beloved banker, leader, and friend whose life exemplified integrity, service, and unwavering commitment to others. For 55 years, Jay faithfully served the Bank of Dade as a loan officer, Executive Vice President, and longtime member of our Board of Directors, leaving an indelible mark on our institution and the countless families and businesses he helped grow. Jay believed banking was more than a profession. It was a calling rooted in trust, relationships, and genuine care for people. His steady leadership, quiet wisdom, and compassionate spirit reflected a life grounded in faith, family, and community. By dedicating this year’s scholarship to Jay’s memory, we honor a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations to lead with character, serve with purpose, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
